Terms and Conditions

 

• Woofs & Purrs LLC will not accept Pets that are pregnant or in heat at the time of grooming without prior authorization.

•Woofs & Purrs LLC may charge an additional fee for convalescent or geriatric pets; we reserve the right to terminate grooming at any time during the grooming process if we feel that the process will result in unneeded discomfort or present a risk to the pet’s health. You will be charged accordingly for services performed.

• The client must inform Woofs & Purrs LLC if the Pet has any history of showing aggression to people or other animals. Client understands that Woofs & Purrs LLC may use a muzzle for the Pet without receiving prior permission from the Client. Woofs & Purrs LLC may charge an additional fee if the Pet becomes aggressive and/or may stop the grooming services at any time during the grooming process due to the Pet's behavior. The client will be solely responsible and will indemnify Woofs & Purrs LLC for all damages caused by the Pet's behavior.

• If the Pet needs veterinary care while in the care of Woofs & Purrs LLC, Woofs & Purrs LLC will make a reasonable attempt to contact the Client. If unable to contact the Client or if the nature of the Pet's status does not allow time to contact the Client, Woofs & Purrs LLC may immediately obtain veterinary care for the Pet at the Pet Owner’s expense.

• Woofs & Purrs LLC may charge an additional fee to remove mats from the Pet's coat; heavily matted pets will be shaved for their safety and comfort.

• Woofs & Purrs LLC will have no liability for any cuts, scratches, or irritations that occur as a natural result of grooming the Pet, including the following injuries: 1. any abrasions that may occur as a result of removing mats from the Pet's coat; 2. any injuries that may occur as a result of the Pet's behavior during the grooming process; and 3. any injuries or death that result of natural causes.

• If the Client arrives to retrieve the Pet before the grooming process is over, the Client agrees to wait outside of the Pet's view. If the Client fails to abide by these conditions, Woofs & Purrs LLC may immediately terminate the grooming services and charge the full price for the services.

• If during the grooming process Woofs & Purrs LLC discovers fleas on the Pet, Woofs & Purrs LLC may immediately give the dog a flea bath. If Woofs & Purrs LLC discovers ticks on the Pet, the ticks will be removed. Additional fees will apply for these services!

• All of our grooming is an appointment, and therefore, we may charge a cancellation fee equal to the price of the service if the Client fails to show up for the scheduled time. A 15-minute grace period is permitted without prior authorization from our groomer.

• No show/ No Call. Failure to cancel your appointment within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time could result in a cancellation fee equal to the total cost of the pet grooming. If this occurs more than 2 times, the client must pay for the missed appointment and must prepay for any future appointment in advance of their next scheduled pet grooming.

Your Pet is Important to us!

Matted Fur - Unfortunately, we may have to shave your pet. Since mats rest tightly on the skin, they often hide pre-existing conditions. Shaving mats can cause or reveal injuries such as inflammation, infections, restricted movement, and blood circulation problems. In particular, because mats on the ears restrict blood flow, they can cause hematomas. Removing mats can trigger a sudden rush of blood to the ears. Thus, bleeding can occur, typically at the tips of the ears. If this occurs, Veterinary treatment should be sought immediately.

Ear Plucking - Ear Plucking is an industry standard for certain breeds and is generally recommended as they often have a lot of hair growing inside their ear canals which can trap moisture and debris, potentially leading to ear infections if not regularly removed. Proper technique is vital to avoid causing unnecessary irritation, and it is important to consult with your veterinarian to determine if ear plucking is necessary for your pet. The responsibility is yours solely to inform Woofs & Purrs of any complications caused by Ear Plucking, or to request the service not be performed, before or at drop off. We are not responsible for any injuries resulting from this service. 

Seniors - We will do our very best to complete your senior pet's service quickly. Sometimes senior pets need breaks to keep them comfortable, which creates a longer total groom time. Grooming can also be stressful for your pet at this age. We are not responsible for the injury or sudden death of your pet while in our care.

Cats - When cats are exposed to a new environment, they can experience elevated stress levels. If your cat is too stressed to safely continue the service, all activities will stop, and you will be notified. Shaving mats on a cat can be dangerous since they have thin skin, and tearing may occur even with gentle handling.
